The Pietra Smeralda is a schist coming from the Spluga valley, in the province of Sondrio (Italy). The rock is medium-coarse grained with marked anisotropy planar alternating beds undulating multi-millimeter thick ivory white and gray-green silver. Its color is clear GREEN-WHITE.
